Description: An iconic Hochbarett modular sofa designed by Karl Wittmann in the 1970s. This elegant six-piece configuration exemplifies the designer’s mastery of combining luxurious comfort with clean architectural forms.

Composed of six fully upholstered modules, including corner and armless elements, the sofa offers exceptional flexibility and can be arranged in a variety of configurations to suit different interiors. The generously proportioned cushions and low-slung silhouette create a relaxed seating experience while maintaining a refined and sophisticated appearance.

Upholstered in rich cognac leather, the sofa has developed a beautiful patina over time, highlighting the quality of the materials and craftsmanship. Its modular design, soft rounded volumes and timeless aesthetic make it a standout example of Austrian modernist furniture design.

Both visually striking and exceptionally comfortable, the Hochbarett remains one of Karl Wittmann’s most recognizable and sought-after creations.

Condition: Good vintage condition with attractive age-related patina and signs of use consistent with age. The leather retains a rich colour and character, enhancing the sofa’s authentic vintage appeal. The leather on the back of the sofa has lost its color a bit over time, see pictures.
